Your Arizona Dream Home
Home ownership is the quintessential goal of many families. It evokes deep seated images of hearth and home that has long been a key milestone in both personal economic development, and the achievement of a strong family life.
It’s certainly the largest investment most families ever make. You evaluate many criteria and agonize over key decisions when you seek your new home; location, area schools, price, mortgage products, and of course, quality. Signing that first thirty-year mortgage note is enough to make anyone stop and think. You want to make the right choice. You carefully check out qualifications of the builder as well, right? How does the average consumer conscientiously select a quality home? How does someone not related to the construction industry see beyond the developer’s marketing and advertising to rigorously select a quality home?
Aesthetics often play a role. Are you pleased with the design of the home, the color schemes, the layout and number of rooms? You carefully check the quality of the fixtures, paint and trim to see that all is well. These are things you can see with your eyes, run your hand over to check for smoothness of finish, tactile and palpable signs that all is well. The things you can see are important but the things you can’t see have important roles that can make your life idyllic or nightmarish. They are the inner workings that make a house a functional home. It’s What You Don’t See That Matters…
Your air conditioning system is the most important system in your home. It determines your family’s comfort. If the A/C doesn’t work in an Arizona summer many things can happen, some obvious and some not. Maybe your child (or yourself) cannot sleep in their bedroom. Maybe you have some rooms that are hotter or colder than the others. Maybe your electric bills are high and you don’t understand because the lights are always turned off as you leave the room. Maybe you have flu-like symptoms whose origins are indeterminate. You can tell when something is wrong with the electrical system of your home. A plumbing problem can also be quite obvious as well, but not so with your air conditioning system. Most people think just because there is some air coming out of a ceiling register or grille that the system must be functioning properly. That is not true. We encourage you to get the inside scoop on what makes your air conditioning efficient and this information will give you the ability to look beyond the advertising and double-talk of a salesperson.
